Hanging, Haggering and Haggling of Humdrum!!!

I tried, but couldn't stop myself from writing a Blog after long time...

There has been lot of rumours doing the round and Gooners all over the world have different views about it. On twitter on the other hand, a new crop of ITKs have emerged and that has really created a mess for impatient Gooners like me. When Higuain rumours started, I was like 'meh' what the hell, lets see if it happens and then get happy about it. But that dragged for so long, that it started hurting my ego. Now I want him at any cost!!! :)

Well personal liking aside, I still think that Wenger shouldn't be involved in all of the transfer dealings that the club is doing. There are 2 major flip side to it, one that transfers go slow and two it dilutes his major work of managing the players and coaching them. We all know having too many things on plate can and will hamper your productivity in some way or another. This is why David Dein was so important for Arsenal, he was Arsene's partner in rhyme and crime. If not him, we do need somebody like him who can also question Wenger on why this and why not that? Because currently, there is no one and really no one who can question Arsene, afterall he has built the modern 'Arsene-al' football club we all love!!!

One more thing what I feel was stupid from Ivan Gazidis' side that he came out and told the world, hey we have money, come and hold us ransom. I can understand the point that he wanted to calm the unsettled supporters and make peace with them, but it was not a very tactical move on his part. We at Arsenal have always been frugal in the way we do our transfer dealings and everybody knows that, to tell other clubs we are not frugal anymore (even if Arsene's thinking is still frugal) makes no sense at all. This is what I guess is stumbling block between quick signings and no signings. As other clubs test our resolve to get the player and we still dont want to pay over what we have thought is the players price. The one shrewd thing I liked what we did is to create a smoke screen of Suarez bid and made sure all the bets are off the market, so that Real who are interested in him will quickly try to sign him and we get Higuain in turn. But alas, we are all but sure to go to Asia tour with only one new signing in Yaya Sanogo.

Apart from that I am really excited about the new kit simply becasue it reminds us of the greatest era that most of the clubs dream of 'The Invincibles". But my sincere request is not to buy any of the new kit or season tickets or Emirates cup ticket or any player memberships, till we have seen the ambition we were all promised at the end of last season, by getting quality players in our ranks.

BTW all the players who were considered to be surplus to our requirements (I wont use deadwood, as they were good once and that why they were playing for us, and it doesn't mean that they failed here they will fail elsewhere too!!) are slowly, but steadily moving out of the club.

I know I am a bit rusty, as I havent written in sometime, but please do let me know if you like the post and please do suggest for any improvements I should make..

Till nest time, let Up The Arsenal!!!

Curious case of past 3 weeks!!!

I am sure every Gooner who loves Arsenal would agree with the headline of this blog. These were the three weeks where we should have taken 9 points from Aston, Everton and Swansea, but we could only take 2 and now we are very close to enter into the second half of the table. Currently we lie in 10th place above Liverpool and below teams like West Brom, Swansea, West Ham, Everton, Stoke and above all Spuds!!!

Now this could be because of many reasons, like lack of creativity or lack of fire power in front of goal or lack of proper defense or unrest amongst players when some of them want to leave or players lacking confidence amongst themselves and each other or players don't think we are good as a bunch to have any kind of ambition or other managers can now predict what Wenger's next move will be and already have contingency plans for it etc... There are many such things which come to my mind when I tend to analyse, where are we going wrong! Individually I don't think we have a bad bunch of players who should be in a bottom half team, except a few! Though we do lack in backups for first team players! If individually we are not bad, then maybe players are having trust issues and are trying to increase their own market value by trying to become lone hero's!!!

The afore mentioned point does seem plausible as we have seen many players use Arsenal as a stepping stone in past few years to increase their market value and move onto different clubs at higher pays! Maybe the players are having the same though, 'Use and throw'!!!I don't know what is wrong, but it hurts to see all this. I never thought I would see Arsenal in such a situation and blame would be on a Stadium, which was supposed to be for betterment of the club all around!!!

I am not saying that we should stop supporting Arsenal, but something needs to give in. I don't know what it should be, but all your opinions are welcome.I am depressed and am sure all you lot would be too!!

Let's bring a change!!!

Who the hell are they to ruin our club!!! Plan is inside to make us better!!!

Now the headline of my blog would suggest that I would be bashing left, right and center club officials over here, but that’s not the case. I would be, but with reasoning and later. Also I do have a request at the end too. I think that is the only way you can make your club better. You guys are the best judges I can get for my request, hence do let me know if that is something you are willing to do!!!

Positives in this season are not to be seen. Best players left. Reinforcements came, but not in all places we wanted. Players on fringes and even in first team who should have sold are still there and proving to be huge huge burden for us.

Negatives are aplenty. Best defense, my foot!!! If the other teams are unable to score goals doesn't make our defense “The Best” and after 3 games in, it doesn't warrant “Steve Bould’s Job” chants too!!! I have been a Gooner a long time to know we are not at all stable in anything we are doing, hence I was crying out loud to anybody who would hear that we don’t have the best defense or attack or mid-field and any happiness is premature!!! Now the same people who were ecstatic at the start are crying foul. Extreme at both ends is bad. Either believe or don’t believe  Just don’t sway away after every game and kick! Ramsey is still shit! Coq fan club can have a foot in their mouth! Back four? Well they are out of sync (And don’t give me that injury shit, because every other team has those problems, and they are still winning!!!)! Though Arteta is good, he is not made for the role of defensive midfielder and his lack of pace is anyways proving me right! He is good as Central Midfielder and we should play him there!!! Every winger wants to play centrally except Gervinho. Giroud has not been the revelation we all were hoping him to be! To be precise he was brought as a backup to Purstrings and not to lead the line!!! Hence we have problems in all the areas and no solution in sight!!!

I would also like to add that I am neither in for Wenger out or Wenger in, I am all in only for “I want my Arsenal Back”!!!

Now coming to the request: This is the only way I think the board is going to take notice of what we want, i.e. if we can stop their cash flow!!! Booing won’t have any effect on them till the time their pockets are filled (Every Board member is earning in Millions and they can pay the same to let best players stay and bring top talent!!!) So the plan is to stop buying anything which has Arsenal on it (Savour the old ones, because they show real Arsenal, current goods don't!!!) And biggest request is to stop going to the stadium at all!!! This is the only way to stop the revenue inflow and show them we are serious in our efforts to bring our club back!!! If they still don’t comply, then where the hell will they get the money and support to pay each of their's hefty bills!!!

I hope you guys are going to pass on this message to all the people you know, so that our voice is heard which is not taken seriously by anybody concerned!!! It’s high time we take matters into our own hands!!! Please do remember to pass on this message if you agree to my philosophy and are willing to follow it too!!!

My sincere thanks for reading this and hope we bring a change soon!!! Amen to that!!! And my twitter handle is @OnTheGunPoint, follow me if you like my views!

P.S. Grammar might have had taken a toss, but when in frustration and anger I think I am allowed that much leverage!!! And parting words are "Let's get our Arsenal back"!!!

Robin Van Persie has paved the way for others to follow!

After 6 days of being bedridden, I am back on blogging front! So I hear International Lull is back! What a boring period this is for all football fans like me, but for sports lovers in general its good as they can now concentrate on Formula1, US Open, and Cricket etc. Hopefully FIFA will reduce the number of friendlies or maybe Club football can reduce the after season holidays, as this will help fans like me a lot! More number of days to watch Arsenal! Yeah!

So coming to the hot topic of today, Sagna! Well I think RVP has shown others how to get a good bargain in the market for themselves, if Arsenal is not willing to meet their demands. RVP showed players how to play the game and left for a bumper contract, Song tried but his demands were not met and he was also sold, Walcott tried in a mild capacity and here both his agent and club couldn’t come to any conclusion! Arsene wants to keep Walcott, and Walcott wants to stay, but the problem is MONEY!

Our very wise and honoured chairman Mr. Deadwood (Oops! Did I misspell the name? Who care I meant Mr. Deadwood anyways! :D) has already come out and made an ingenious statement “We can’t compete with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United in their wages and transfer activity”!!! Wow Mr. Deadwood, rather than working towards the weakness you are succumbing to it!!! Awesome job indeed! How many more players now would start thinking what RVP very blatantly wrote on his website ‘No Ambition’! I am not very sure where our club is heading and what will the future will hold, but rather than paying Board Members/CEO/MD/Manager etc $10Mil plus a year each, it would be better to make sure players are bought and retained from that amount! I am still of the opinion that Gooners should stop going to match days, buying merchandise and watch Arsenal play only on TV! This might make management realize that they can’t keep on holding us to ransom to fulfill their pockets!!! I cant think of any other thing in our hands to take our club where we want it to be!

Oh I completely forgot about Sagna, he went public to tell other suitors that his contract is ending and he will be open to look for a bumper paycheck too! And strategically he made this comment after Mr. Deadwood’s comment about our POOR Club! This is a clear message sent to Arsenal Management; either adhere to top standards or risk losing top talent! This is sad and I am sure as I have seen glory days, I will see the opposite of that too and very soon!

Talking about top talent, Zenith might buy Arshavin by today. There is interest from them towards Arshavin and Nani. Having already spent close to 70Mil Quids over last week! Hope Arshavin leaves and get a better future in Zenith!

Do remember to give me “HELL YEAH” on @OnTheGunPoint if you liked my article! Til next time then!

P.S. Please stop the Cesc rumours everyone! He didn't go to Camp Nou to come back! He didn't spent 2 years crafting his way to Barca to play for Arsenal!
